IT and Digital students - An opportunity to broaden your horizons, understanding and knowledge of what and how IT and Digital services can deliver business and citizen benefits and efficiencies in a wider Australian Public and Not for Profit (NfP) sector context.
IT and Digital Practitioners - An opportunity to showcase innovation projects that you and or a team have created or implemented in an organisation, demonstrating how IT and Digital services have deliver business and citizen benefits and efficiencies in a wider Australian Public and NfP sector context.

IT and Digital Students - An opportunity to carry out some research based work experience will be few and far between. The Socitm Australia IT and Digital Research Awards provide you with that opportunity.
IT and Digital Practitioners - The Socitm Australia IT and Digital Innovation awards focus on the contribution of individuals, projects, organisations and technologies that have excelled in the use, development and deployment of IT and Digital projects in the past 12 months.
Students - A positive and valuable contribution to your own personal development and the wider IT and Digital sector as a direct result of the experience gained via the awards.
Practitioners - Showcasing your IT and Digital innovation at Socitm Australia's Annual Awards event of the year - the benchmark for outstanding IT contribution in the Australian Public and Not for Profit (NfP) sector! Will provide you and your organisation with National acclaim and accolades.
There are no investment costs for students or practitioners.
Students must complete their research project within the amount provided by the grant. The applicant or employer may add to the grant.
Any deliverables resulting from the work will be provided to Socitm Australia to disseminate to members.
Timescales and commitments
All applications must be completed in good time to present progress findings back to the Socitm Australia Autum and Winter regional seminars and the winners will be announced at the Annual Spring conference.
All applicants must have permission from their organisation and commit to feeding back to Socitm Australia through a written and verbal progress report by end of February ahead of the Autum seminars in March and the final report by end of June ahead of the Winter seminars held in July, the award winners will be announced at the Annual spring Conference in November.

Founded in 2016 by Socitm Australia, the awards represents a great opportunity for Australian Public and Not for Profit (NfP) sector IT and Digital professionals to showcase innovation they have created or implemented in an organisation and for IT and Digital students to undertake a period of research based work experience at home or abroad, which demonstrates how ICT and digital services can deliver business and citizen benefits and efficiencies in a wider Australian Public and Not for Profit (NfP) sector context.
